The Morgan County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) announces the availability of the Morgan County Hazard Mitigation Plan Update for public review and comment. The Plan Update is a requirement of FEMA for the provision of hazard mitigation funds to conduct mitigation activities to reduce the County's vulnerability to natural disasters. The report can be found at www.glcap.org/morgancountyplan. Printed copies of the report are also available for review at the Morgan County Commissioner's Office at 155 E Main Street, McConnelsville, each of the 4 village offices and both locations of the Kate Love Simpson Library in McConnelsville and Chesterhill.
Virtual public meetings will be held on December 2, 2020 from 12-2 pm and December 9, 2020 from 4-6 pm. A link to connect to these meetings can be found at www.glcap.or/... and on the Morgan County EMA website at morganema.com and the County website at morgancounty-oh.gov.
The public is encouraged to review and comment on this Plan Update until December 18, 2020.
